Introducing the 2026 PUMA Youth Indigenous Clash Guernsey!
Mirroring the on-field design worn in Round 11 against Port Adelaide, this predominantly white guernsey brings Cian McCue’s artwork to the next generation of fans.
The artwork is centred around the seven seasons on the Larrakia calendar, with each season represented by a significant plant or animal indicator.
From the left of the artwork we start with:
Balnba (Rainy season) – the start of the wet season and a good time for finding shellfish in and around the mangroves as they are uncovered by rain.
Dalay (Monsoon) – sees the monsoon begin, with crocodiles nesting and laying eggs throughout this period.
Mayilema (Knock ‘em down storms) – marks the end of the wet season, bringing cooler conditions and the arrival of dragonflies as the dry approaches.
Damibila (Barramundi season) – when barramundi move from the floodplains out towards the sea.
Dinidjangama (Heavy dew) – the cold time of year, when floodplains dry and water lilies come into bloom.
Gurulwa guligi (Big wind) – a time of strong winds and magpie goose hunting season.
Dalirrgang (Build up) – as seas heat up, box jellyfish move closer to shore, marking the transition back toward the wet.
